Apple launch event 2020: Everything you need to know.

Apple, The Premium Flagship Smartphone Giant, just launched its next-generation of iPhones and Smart Devices recently as part of its Global Virtual Apple Event.

The launch event started with iPhone 12 mini and went on until the iPhone 12 Pro Max and got over pretty quickly, just like the Event Tagline, “Hi, Speed.”
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, stated that all the devices launched in the event are 5G enabled and expected to be available for India’s customers starting from October 30, 2020.

09:52 (IST): Apple launched four iPhone 12 models — the iPhone 12 mini, which starts from Rs.69,000 for the 64GB variant, the iPhone 12, which is priced at Rs.79,900 for the 64GB variant. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max start at Rs.1,19,900 and Rs.1,29,900 respectively.

09:50 (IST): After the iPhone 12 versions announcement, Apple announced a price cut on the iPhone 11 and other pre-existing products. As per the latest announcement, the iPhone 11 now starts from Rs.54,900 for the basic 64GB variant, the iPhone 11 is priced at Rs 59,900 for the 128GB version while the iPhone 11 256GB version starts from Rs 69,900.

00:32(IST): CEO Tim Cook stated that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro would be available in India from October 30. iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini will be available in India later this year.

08:41(IST): Apple iPhone 12 will be powered by the all-new A14 Bionic chipset, which is much comparatively faster than the A13 chipset, which runs on iPhone 11.
According to Apple, iPhone 12 comes with a ceramic shield that makes the device much more durable than ever before, offering four times better drop resistance.
The new iPhone 12 also comes with improvised Magsafe technology for better wireless charging.
Apple also claims that the iPhone 12 is 11% thinner than the previous models and comes with OLED display for all their new launches.

The iPhone 12 mini runs on the latest A14 Bionic chipset with a 5nm spacing considered Apple’s most powerful processor. iPhone 12 Mini features a dual rear camera just like iPhone 11, which carries a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra wide-angle secondary sensor. Enabled with 5G, the iPhone 12 Mini is officially the smallest, thinnest and lightest 5G phone in the world.

iPhone 12 sports a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with HDR10 support. iPhone 12 packs the latest A14 Bionic chipset with a 5nm spacing, the most powerful Apple processor. iPhone 12 Mini features a dual rear camera just like iPhone 11, which carries a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra wide-angle secondary sensor.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro:
iPhone 12 Pro sports a 6.1 inch super retina XDR OLED display and feature the powerful A14 Bionic Chip, an all-new design with Ceramic Shield, and a pro camera system.
The phone also packs a LiDAR Scanner and the largest Super Retina XDR display ever on an iPhone.
The iPhone 12 Pro models pack a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor with Apple ProRAW, which gives more creative control while taking photos. It also provides the first end-to-end Dolby Vision video experience.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max:
iPhone 12 Pro Max features the powerful A14 Bionic Chip, an all-new design with Ceramic Shield, and a pro camera system.
The phone also packs a LiDAR Scanner and the biggest Super Retina XDR display ever on an iPhone.

23:11(IST):
Apple detailed the implementation of Magsafe, which promises to improve the wireless charging experience on the iPhone 12. Sadly, this is promised only for iPhone 12 series.

22:48(IST):
Apple announced the next big thing in the iPhone 12, which is 5G connectivity. As per a few Online rumors, Apple has partnered with Verizon to provide 5G connectivity to all the launched models.
